Cave of Emotions
She finds herself walking in the cave of emotions.
The cave air damp from her unshed tears coating its walls. She feels a pressure in her heart here that she cannot ignore. As she walks deeper into the cave, the only sound she hears is her feet hitting puddles of water. She has never felt so uncomfortable by her own presence until now that she hears it echo all around her, but she moves forward none the less.
Finally as she nears the middle of the cave she finds what caused her to venture here in the first place, the emerald crystal of love and joy she has been dreaming of. The emerald emits out a bright green light but she notices how it flickers in and out. She thinks to herself “in my dreams it doesn’t look like this, it’s light is supposed to be sturdy and strong.”
She startles as she hears the wind whisper back to her, “it’s light is supposed to be sturdy and strong but your doubt of its presence in the darkness interferes with its reflection.” Thinking herself crazy she responds back “well what do I do then, I was called to this cave for a reason help me understand it.” “Move closer” the wind responds back “the crystal will answer the call.”
She moves closer and with a tremble in her hand as she questions her worthiness of being near such a gem she places her hands on the crystal. The crystal emits a shadow that resembles her, the shadow speaks “If you want your light to be bright with love and joy, you must recognize where in the darkness it still shines.” She responds back “but I don’t understand how is there light and love in the darkness. How can this cave hold this light with all this dampness of unshed tears, I can only imagine what it is like when I do shed them.” The crystal responds “let me show you.”
Like a whirlwind she is transported through times in which she felt deep darkness, the times in which she never expressed it and all the times she had, through these flashes there was always a tether of love and joy around her whether through others or things that filled her soul with spark. “Do you see now how held you are by us.” The crystal whispers. “That which is unshed, shed it, release what is no longer, set yourself free of fear of the darkness knowing and trusting this light will shine on.” She allows this sentiment to root itself deep into her soul and with a deep breathe the emerald bursts with light in response.
There are times when I am sitting down just moving through random thoughts and one catches my interest and I latch myself to it. These thoughts spiral me into an imaginative world where I feel the messages of healing and insight come through. If you ever had a Akashic Record reading with me or any of my Intuitive Energy Healing sessions you may have experienced first hand how my imagination combines deep healing through metaphors and symbolism.
This story above came flowing in as I thought about the Winter Solstice and the ways in which the winter season can often cause seasonal depression for many.
